The Misery Project was awarded to the KeTe Whii/Procon Joint Venture in 2017 following the successful completion of many sizeable underground mining contracts over the last 20 years. Being seasonal, the site is logistically constrained with winter road access only. The scope involves all underground labour and equipment provision for the 2,400 tpd sub-level cave mine. Access was achieved from two portals developed from the open-pit ramp into the orebody.
