Procon was contracted to develop approximately 2,500 metres of underground exploration decline under an existing open pit for the Kumtor Mine Project at a remote 4,000-metre elevation in the Tien Shan Mountains of Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia. Work was completed using expatriate labour who trained local workers in the necessary mining skills.
