Procon began work at the Nalunaq Mine Project in 2000. Nalunaq, located on Greenland’s southern tip, was the first gold mine to be put into production in Greenland in over 30 years. Crew access to this site was by plane or boat only, with equipment and supplies brought in by ocean liners equipped with ice breakers. Procon supplied personnel and equipment for lateral development and production mining, and Alimak raise crews.
