Mining Safety and Training Programs

Procon’s Safety and Training Programs ensure that our people return home safe at the end of each day. We are known for our New Miner, Task-Specific and Supervisor Training Programs.

New Miner Training

The overall objective of the ProconSAFE New Miner Training and Assessment Program is to provide participants with a thorough overview of the underground mining cycle and processes. This module-based training program ensure that learners can demonstrate competency according to Procon’s standards, client-specific requirements, and industry best practices.

Task-Specific Training

Procon insists that proper training of employees is critical to achieving a safe and productive workplace. As part of our Miner Training Programs, participants are tracked and monitored to ensure that they receive the proper job-specific certification and training for the tasks they are assigned.

Specialized Training

Procon has internal instructors that can provide the following training: • Fall Protection

Supervisor Core Training

Procon is committed to providing supervisors with the skills and knowledge to effectively deliver on their responsibilities. As part of our Miner Training Program, we have an in-house Supervisor Core Training program for all Front-Line Supervisors derived primarily from the Ontario Common Core Modular training standards and relevant industry standards.
